Free Tax Help

"Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor." (Romans 13:7 NIV)

Free Tax Help will be available during March and April at Aurora University's Dunham School of Business. They've partnered with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) under the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program to offer free tax assistance to the Aurora community.

The VITA program offers free tax help to individuals who cannot afford professional assistance. Volunteers help prepare basic tax returns.

Through this program, Accounting students at AU actually prepare tax returns for low income members of the community free of charge. This is a great opportunity for students to learn tax preparation as well as to contribute to the community.

The VITA workshops dates for spring 2009 coming year are:

* TBA
